Climateq is introducing new carbon-reducing products guaranteed to save you money

Even though air conditioning is the biggest driver in growing electricity demand, there are many other areas where devices help to reduce energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions.

Take voltage optimisation, for example. Did you know that the average current coming out of our sockets is 242 Volts? That is exactly 10% more than what most of our electronic devices are designed for - 220 Volts. So what happens with the excess 22 Volts? You pay for them! An unnecessary waste that does not only affect your electricity bill, but also the lifespan of your equipment.

Climateq offers the solution: we will look at your energy bill and measure the current coming through your sockets to present you, free of charge, with a guaranteed return on your investment - generally between 18 and 24 months.

The next thing that should be on every Energy Manager's agenda (if their organisation doesn't have it yet) is energy management. Imagine driving a bus full with passengers blind-folded. If you don't know what lighting, heating, ventilation, appliances etc. contribute to your overall electricity bill, it is so much more difficult to pinpoint problem areas, and tackle them.

Centrica has created clever clip-on devices (no batteries, no maintenance needed!) that measure any form of energy flow - electricity, gas, steam, water or air - and sends the information to a router and from there to a cloud platform where it can be monitored and analysed in real time. It will give you the most accurate and, if you wish, granular insight into how energy is used (and often wasted) across your estate, and allow you to act on it.

Again, feel free to have a look at our website for energy management - or just get in touch directly, 01202 201480 or info@climateq.co.uk. We are happy to answer any questions you may have.
