Our British designed and manufactured retrofit air conditioning, lighting and heating control technologies combine affordability, simplicity and intelligence. It’s no wonder we are the trusted controls partner for so many global brands.
Climateq is no ordinary controls manufacturer. Launched in 2010, we wanted to create competitively priced, standalone controls that could easily be retrofitted to existing lights and air conditioning units, especially since there were none available at the time. And so we started the process of designing and manufacturing simple and cost-effective solutions to take control of energy wastage in unoccupied spaces.
We are a family owned company that puts its commitment to sustainability at the heart of our business. We work in partnership with our customers to drive down energy consumption and carbon emissions while increasing their bottom line profit. It’s in our culture to offer a personalised approach to service and support. This is underpinned by world class technical advice and guidance whenever it is needed.
Our air conditioning and lighting controls are proven to deliver a flexible, cost effective approach to meet today’s tough energy challenges. We work across the low carbon arena, with facilities management companies and energy consultants – as well as end users. In fact, our experience reaches across a whole host of sectors including: commercial, retail, education, health, FM, the emergency services, hospitality and leisure.
On January 1, 2022, The Times wrote "The road to net zero will be bumpy ... The Cop26 climate talks in Glasgow were meant to have been one of the highlights of last year, yet less than two months after they finished it is hard immediately to recall what they achieved or whether we are closer to curbing climate change than before. The omens are not good. The world's appetite for energy is still growing quickly, as is the production of coal."
Fast forward to today, and the situation has gone from bad to worse. Europe is experiencing an energy crisis that, aside from resulting in old coal power stations and obsolete nuclear plants going online again, is also the cause for a very unpleasant hike in energy prices. The challenge to reach net zero is bigger than ever before. Heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems (HVAC) account for approximately 40% of commercial building energy use and dominate peak electricity demand.
Climateq is committed to drive down that demand from cooling people and equipment. Our low-cost, high-impact controls give a quick return on investment and help energy managers to keep the focus on their organisations' ambitious net zero goals whilst freeing fresh funds to invest into other energy conservation measures.
